Expected completion of the $9.8 million Hwy. 105 median proj- ect between Conroe and Montgom- ery has been delayed by the Texas Department of Transportation until at least the fourth quarter of 2023— six months later than the original date of June—according to a Febru- ary update from TxDOT. Public Information O cer Emily Black said the delay is attributed to material shortages of cement. The project is 51% complete. “A project that could have been very streamlined was not and is going to be an easy target for a lot of anger,” Shannan Reid, director of the Mont- gomery Area Chamber of Commerce, said in an interview. “We need to be able to get back to normal.” TxDOT began the Hwy. 105 proj- ect in October 2021. Black said the
