FEATURED IMPACT EXPANSIONS Texas Health Frisco, located at 12400 Dallas Parkway, opened its sixth oor after completing construction the week of Aug. 15, according to a news release. The new oor is designated for gynecology, spine, urology and bariatrics patients, according to the release. Construction on the sixth oor started in November and added 30 beds and two operating rooms at a cost of $23.6 million, according to the release. Texas Health Frisco opened in 2019 with its sixth and seventh oors vacant for future growth. With the sixth oor open,
the hospital will hire three more bariatric surgeons later this year. “The additional space will give us exibility and help meet the growing needs of patients in Collin and Denton counties,” Texas Health Frisco President Brett Lee said in a statement. 469-495-2000. www.texashealth.org/ Locations/texas-health-frisco

The project is the first redevelopment project in the Rail District, according to developer Nack Development’s website. Giaola Italian Kitchen will be one of the newest tenants of the building alongside Alejandra Mexican Cuisine opening in January 2023. www.giaolakitchen.com 7 Chipotle Mexican Grill will open a fifth location in Frisco at 8847 Coit Road. The restaurant will open this winter, according to a spokesperson for the company. The new location will feature a Chipotlane, the company’s digital order drive-thru pickup lane. The restaurant chain offers burritos, burrito bowls, salads and tacos. As of March 31, Chipotle has over 3,000 restaurants worldwide, all of which are company-owned and -operated. www.chipotle.com

8 A new pie store is projected to open in early 2023 at 7967 Custer Road, Ste. 200, in Frisco, Owner Julia Henricks said. The Pie Dish will start with a soft opening in January or February and will specialize in serving nontraditional cream-based pies, Henricks said.
