HISD installs Adams, Chavez after election The Hutto ISD board of trustees includes a new face following the May board election. What you need to know April Adams and Felix Chavez were sworn in to their seats on the board of trustees May 28. This will be Adams’ first term and Chavez’s third. Seats on the district’s board are at-large, representing the community as a whole. They will each serve a three-year term. How we got here This comes as trustee Shara Turner, who served on the board for two terms beginning in 2020, is retiring from the board. Adams and Chavez won their races in the May 2 election against opponents Lynn Green, Taylor Lopez and Sam Martinez.

Housing conditions to taper HISD enrollment growth Changes in the Hutto housing market may slow down Hutto ISD’s enrollment growth compared to previous estimates, demographers shared in April.
