The Business Blueprint: How Pflugerville is Investing in its Own The Business Blueprint: How Pflugerville is Investing in its Own
I see the future of our community. Thousands of people pass these large buildings every day. They may look like plain gray boxes, but they represent something much bigger. They show how Pflugerville is growing and competing with other cities. Each building started with an important question: “Can we do business here?” Before construction began, companies carefully studied our roads, power systems, and workforce. They wanted to make sure our city was ready. These were not simple questions. They were detailed checks to see if Pflugerville could support new businesses. In today’s world, cities need buildings that are ready for companies to move into. If we don’t have them, we can miss out on big opportunities. By being prepared, we can attract companies like EOS, which recently invested millions of dollars in our city. Without these buildings, Pflugerville might not even be considered. There is a “Main Street” side to these industrial areas that affects our daily lives. Many cities try to attract businesses by cutting property taxes. But in Pflugerville, we focus on building strong partnerships. hen I drive down State Highway 130, I don't just see concrete. W "SMALL BUSINESSES ARE THE HEART OF OUR COMMUNITY, THE BUSINESS PLAN CLASSES WILL PROVIDE RESIDENTS WITH RESOURCES THAT WILL GUIDE THEM AND IMPROVE THEIR CHANCES OF LONG-TERM SUCCESS”
The companies that move here help pay for roads, emergency services, and schools. They support our community in important ways. Without them, the cost of these services would fall more on local homeowners. Our growth is not by chance. We follow clear plans to guide us. These include the Economic Development Strategic Plan and the Aspire Pflugerville 2040 Plan. These plans help us take advantage of being near major tech companies like Tesla and Samsung. They also help make sure our growth benefits the people who live here. We also focus on creating a balanced community. We use a “Wellness Wheel” approach to support both economic growth and quality of life. This includes building “10-minute neighborhoods,” where people can easily reach important places like stores, parks, and services. This kind of growth is not just about getting bigger—it’s about growing in a smart and sustainable way.
People often ask, “When will we get more restaurants and shopping options?” The answer is tied to income. Retail businesses follow where people have money to spend. By bringing in higher-paying jobs and supporting our local workforce, we increase income in our community. This makes Pflugerville more attractive to stores and restaurants. Fun places to shop and eat don’t come first, they come after strong job growth. One supports the other. The large buildings along Highway 130 are not the end goal. They are just the beginning. They are signs of progress. As construction continues, we should look beyond the gray walls and see what they make possible: better roads, more parks, stronger schools, and a brighter future. In Pflugerville, when we grow together, everyone benefits. These buildings are helping lift our whole community forward. People often ask, When will we get People often ask “When will we get
