This new segment of roadway will be 1 mile in length and consist of a four-lane roadway with a raised center median and the addition of streetlights. This project is being done in coordination with Travis County. Update: Construction began Jan. 12. • Timeline: Completion expected in May 2027 • Cost: $10.7 million • Funding sources: city bonds, roadway impact fees 8 Helios Way Project: Helios Way is being extended to improve access to the SH 130 Frontage Road and support industrial development. Project: The city is converting select downtown streets into one-way traffic to improve flow and safety, while adding parking. Changes include new parallel parking on East Street. Update: The project was 28% complete as of Feb. 12. • Timeline: Expected completion March 2027 • Cost: $20.47 million • Funding source: 2020 Transportation Bond program 6 Historic Colored Addition infrastructure improvements Project: The city is rebuilding existing streets and constructing new roadways, with drainage, sidewalks, streetlights and water line upgrades across the neighborhood. Update: Construction is ongoing for the project.
