Population growth continues to increase in both Comal and Guadalupe County. Between July 1, 2020 and July 1, 2025, Comal County saw a 27.85% population increase, according to county-level data released by the U.S. Census Bureau in March. As of July 1, 2020, Comal County had an estimated population of 163,608, which increased to an estimated population of 209,166 in 2025, data shows. In other words, about 45,558 people moved to the area over a 5-year period. Between July 1, 2020 and July 1, 2025, Guadalupe County saw a similar trend. Guadalupe County’s population increased by 15.76%, or by about 27, 389 individuals,

according to the county-level data released by the U.S. Census Bureau in March. As of July 1, 2020, Guadalupe County had an estimated population of 173,722, which increased to an estimated population of 201,111 in July 1 2025, data shows. Texas also gained more residents last year than any other U.S. state, according to the recently released data. The Lone Star State gained 391,243 residents in 2025, bringing the state’s total population to 31.7 million. However, the state’s overall population growth has slowed significantly. This can be attributed in part to the Trump administration’s crackdown on immigration, State Demographer Lloyd Potter said.
