Lewisville IndianOaks project planning continues

works since 2015 when Lewisville voters approved a bond package that included upgrades to streets, parks and public safety, according to project details outlined by the city of Lewisville. The bond proposition set aside $71.6 million for arterial and neigh- borhood streets, including street replacements in the Indian Oaks neighborhood. City Council awarded Garver Engineering a contract to design the project in February 2021, according to records. The city’s plan is to replace the old water and sewer lines, improve roadway drainage and upgrade the roadways to concrete, according to the city’s website.

Lewisville city ocials look to have the Indian Oaks subdivision street project designs completed in fall 2022. Construction is expected to begin after the designs are completed. Estimated construction time is a year to a year and a half from start to nish, according to project details. The streets involved in the project are: Babbling Brook Drive, Little Fawn Court, Babbling Brook Court, Silver Cloud Circle, Firewater Circle, Bualo Bend Drive from Wanderlust Drive to Valley Parkway, Wanderlust north of Bualo Bend, Spring Creek Lane and Sweet Springs Court. Highland Village to see 25 streets improved by 2024 Highland Village residents will see several street improvement projects this year. City sta evaluated the 126 asphalt pavement streets within the city, and 25 streets were identied as failing, said Scott Kriston, Highland Village director of public works. The project will be funded through a $3.6 million bond. The streets identied as needing asphalt reconstruction include Lakeland Drive, Meadow Brook Drive, Oak Street, Cedar Drive, Redwood Drive, Ferndale Drive, Merriman Drive, Medina Drive, Glenmere Drive, Camden Drive, Turpin Drive, La Mesa Drive, Bexar Drive, Sandero Drive, Victoria Drive, Inca Place, Malibu Drive, Cuero Place, Perro Place, Gayle Lane, Savanna Drive, Catlin Circle, Catlin Terrace, Ranney Drive and Moran Drive. The streets will be grouped into several construction projects, Kriston said. The dierent construction phases are expected to begin in summer 2022. The goal is to have the reconstruction of the 25 streets done by winter 2024, he said. Highland Village ocials listed Redwood Drive as one of 25 streets to be updated. Flower Mound residents will see the completion of two road projects in the early part of 2022. The projects include the Bruton Orand northbound turn lane and the Edgeeld Trail street reconstruction, according to Flower Mound’s project website. The Bruton Orand project includes the installation of a northbound right- turn lane at the FM 1171 and Bruton Orand intersection, according to the project details. The project includes about 200 feet of paving, sidewalk and

trac signal relocation, and it will cost $550,000, which is funded through the town’s general fund and tax debt. Construction is scheduled to be complete in February, and utility relocations and signal work is currently underway, according to the city’s website.

The Edgeeld street reconstruc- tion project is also scheduled to be completed in February. This project is the reconstruction of Edgeeld and its sidewalk. The project costs $1.41 million and is funded through dedicated sales tax.
