The gym oers personal training, nutrition coaching, strength training and classes that are free to members, including Silver Power for seniors, Bun Burner, High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) Octane, and Pound—a unique class that includes drumsticks. The gym is also adding instructors and classes such as yoga and bootcamp. So far, the gym has about 400 members, but with the new year and resolutions, they expect to grow. There are two memberships, neither of which require a contract. The basic plan, called Power, is $29.99 a month and includes access to the gym and its equipment, group classes plus one session with a personal trainer or nutritionist, and a body scan. Power Plus is $44.99 per month and includes the basic membership plus three free sessions with the personal trainer or nutritionist, and a monthly body scan. Military and rst responders are eligible for a discount. What really sets the gym apart is its underlying philosophy, “Master Your Power,” or to be “the best you” possible, Merz said. “We feel somebody coming into the club, we want to teach them to master themselves and to master their power,” Merz said. “You can do all the sit-ups in the world but if you don’t have the right diet you’re not going to lose your beer belly. It’s not going to make a dierence and that’s what ‘master your power’ is all about.”

PowerMaster will be helping members ‘Master their Power.’” It took three months to renovate the space, which has been home to a gym since the late ‘80s, said Bob Merz, director of brand management and licensing for VP Racing Fuels Inc. and PowerMaster Fitness. “The facility is really cool, it’s on ... three levels,” Merz said.
