After enrollment dropped in the 2020-21 school year during the COVID-19 pandemic, Conroe ISD is projected to see an increase in 2022-23 when the school year begins in August.
The district has seen its enrollment grow each year since 2018, and the number of teachers in the district increased by 3.34% from 2019 to 2020, more than any other district serving The Woodlands area.
Student enrollment decreased in Magnolia ISD from 2019-20 more than in neighboring districts, and it has seen less signi cant growth in teaching sta during that time period.

SCHOOL OPENINGS
Conroe ISD • Renovations to Conroe High School will be complete and ready for students after the fall. • The Wilkerson Intermediate School physical education classroom addition was completed this summer. • Construction on Oak Ridge North High School improvements for a career and technical education wing are underway. Tomball ISD • The district is planning a third high school, two elementary schools and an intermediate school with $494 million in bond funds from a 2021 election.
