EXPANSIONS 7 Austin Regional Clinic announced Dec. 20 that the ARC Center Street location, at 22420 I-35, Ste. 203, Kyle, will be expanding to add dermatology services. Starting Jan. 4, Kathryn Seims will begin offering services to treat a range of dermatological conditions such as adult and teen acne; chronic skin problems; and skin cancer screenings, evaluations and more. 737-404-0347. www.austinregionalclinic.com IN THE NEWS The city of Buda announced Dec. 17 it is preparing for severe winter weather by purchasing generators for water and wastewater treatment facilities. With American Rescue Plan Act funding, the two trailer-mounted generators will en- sure that the city’s facilities have power and that communication will remain open in the event of a power outage. The city has also purchased sand and snow chains for the police and public works departments in case of snow. www.ci.buda.tx.us The city of Buda announced Jan. 5 it is accepting applications for the new library strategic planning committee through Jan. 24. The committee will provide guidance regarding the library’s strategic plan update and goals for the next five years to the City Council. Commerce Center at 301 Vista Ridge Drive, Kyle. The company will be invest- ing $2.2 million for the approximately 50,000-square-foot facility, which is set to be completed in the summer. The new facility will bring in over 70 full-time jobs to the area. FM 1626, Ste. 100, Kyle. The new nail salon will offer spa-like services such as manicures, pedi- cures and more. A phone number is not yet available. www.venicenailspatx.com 5 The Kyle Economic Development Department announced Dec. 8 a new location of Z’Tejas Southwest Grill will open in late 2022 within the Dry River District, a 65-acre mixed-use development off I-35 in Kyle. The new restaurant will be approximately 4,500 square feet with an additional 2,000 square feet serving as an outdoor patio. The restaurant will also be the first that the company owns outright. Over 50 jobs and approximately $4 million of capital investment will be brought into the city by the restaurant. www.ztejas.com RELOCATIONS 6 Bad Ass Foods relocated to Rail- house Bar, located at 107 E. Center St., Kyle, in November after its one-year lease at Papa Jack’s Bar ended.
