Board recommends zoning change for Cannon Beach project City leaders are considering a zoning change to accommodate the future Cannon Beach surf resort at the northeast corner of Stacy Road and SH 121. What’s happening? McKinney’s Planning and Zoning Com- mission voted unanimously to recommend new zoning for the project during a March 10 meeting. McKinney City Council is expected to consider the zoning request and take nal action at a future meeting. If approved, over 58 acres would be zoned to allow a mix of uses that are expected at the future surf park. Many of the same development regulations were already included under the existing zoning.
McKinney leaders discuss potential roundabout addition at Ridge Road, Glen Oaks intersection

City sta were asking council members for guidance on moving forward with either a roundabout or a tra c signal at the intersection, which operates as a four-way stop. It sees an average of 22,064 vehicles per day, according to Director of Engineer- ing Gary Graham’s presentation, with most tra c volume heading north or south on Ridge Road.
