City o cials are entering into an exclusive negotiating period with architecture and engineer- ing rm Parkhill to develop about 300 acres in north McKinney for a sports and entertainment complex. The details McKinney City Council members approved a resolution April 7 authorizing the city manager to negotiate an agreement with Parkhill to lead, develop and program a “landmark sports and enter- tainment complex,” according to a city document. The negotiating period will run up to 180 days, after which an agreement will be presented to council for consideration. Parkhill was selected from a pool of four rms that responded to a request for quali cations. Plans have been in the works for development of the land since 2020, when the city and the McKinney Community Development Corp. began
