Hwy. 242 widening proposed in Conroe area for fall 2023 A $40 million project proposed by the Texas Department of Transpor- tation could see Hwy. 242 expanded between FM 1488 and I-45 North in the Conroe area by increasing the total number of lanes from four to six as well as adding three detention ponds and sound walls.
