Pedestrian hybrid beacon installation at Hall Johnson Road and Hazy Meadow Lane intersection A pedestrian hybrid beacon will be installed at the intersection of Hall Johnson Road and Hazy Meadow Lane. The signal is designed to let drivers know when pedestrians are crossing the intersection. City staff will install the signal within the coming months, according to city records. North White Chapel Boulevard widening Contractors working on the city of Southlake’s North White Chapel Bou- levard widening project have finished the paving on East Chapel Downs Drive and Mission Drive, according to a Southlake Mobility Team update on Jan. 20. The contractors also added the final finishes to the outstanding curb inlets and parts of the screening wall. Weather permitting, the contrac- tors will apply the permanent paving in February. Timeline: 2018-spring 2022 Cost: $18 million Funding source: city of Southlake
Davis Boulevard and West Continental Boulevard intersection improvements The Southlake City Council autho- rized payment for traffic management improvements to the intersection of Davis Boulevard and West Continen- tal Boulevard at its Jan. 18 meeting. Improvements include modified east and westbound approaches, sidewalks and crosswalks, and traffic signals, according to city documents. Timeline: TBD Cost: $143,363 Funding source: city of Southlake
Glade Road construction Colleyville’s Glade Road project is in Phase 2, which extends from A Staf- ford Drive to Montclair Drive and will be completed by May. Construction on the B Bluebonnet Drive and Glade Road intersection will begin in March. The utility contractor is installing a wa- ter line for Phase 3, which extends from C Montclair Drive to Pool Road. Timeline: December 2020-November 2022 Cost: $14.3 million Funding sources: Tax Increment Finance Fund, Texas Department of Transportation
