FISD projects slight enrollment decline for 202627 Friendswood ISD ocials project a decline in overall enrollment for the 2026-27 school year, according to enrollment data presented at the May 11 board of trustees meeting. Alvin ISD board of trustees approve 3% COLA adjustment Alvin ISD’s board of trustees approved an amendment during its May 12 meeting to advance a 3% cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, for sta for scal year 2026-27. The overview To maintain a balanced budget for FY 2026-27, non-annual expenses may be reviewed for potential savings. While the state provides funding for teacher pay increases through the Teacher Retention Allotment, ongoing COLA increases are not separately funded. AISD’s Chief Financial Ocer Daniel Combs said the initial budget did not include the additional COLA and may require additional revenue to sustain.
