FISD projects slight enrollment decline for 2026 27 Friendswood ISD o cials project a decline in overall enrollment for the 2026-27 school year, according to enrollment data presented at the May 11 board of trustees meeting. The details District documents show enrollment is expected to total nearly 6,100 students for the 2026-27 school year, a decrease of 66 students compared to the 2025-26 school year. Alvin ISD board of trustees approve 3% COLA adjustment Alvin ISD’s board of trustees approved an amendment during its May 12 meeting to advance a 3% cost-of-living adjustment, or COLA, for sta for scal year 2026-27. The overview To maintain a balanced budget for FY 2026-27, non-annual expenses may be reviewed for potential savings. While the state provides funding for teacher pay increases through the Teacher Retention Allotment, ongoing COLA increases are not separately funded. AISD’s Chief Financial O cer Daniel Combs said the initial budget did not include the additional COLA and may require additional revenue to sustain.
