Diamond 79 Plaza will bring multiple new retail options just east of Dell Diamond in Round Rock. N
H E B has led a site plan with the city in December to build a store, said Jeremy Fra- zell, P ugerville planning and development services director. Additionally, H E B on March 2 submitted a pair of lings for a new construc- tion project with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. The TDLR lings indicate H E B could build a store at 2641 E. P ugerville Parkway on the west side of Lake P uger- ville and east of SH 130. H E B Construction Project Leader Blake Gardner said he would not con rm if the grocery chain will build a new store, but the lings indicate the project would cost a total

of $48 million and total about 127,000 square feet. Frazzell said while the site plan submission does not guar- antee H E B is coming to the location, the company is now working through subdivision plans. He added the project would include several road and infrastructure additions and improvements. The TDLR lings state the project would begin construc- tion in mid-July and complete construction by July 2024. However, Frazzell said the construction timeline listed by the TDLR is not de nite, and the city cannot con rm an opening date.
Diamond 79 Plaza to bring 25K square feet of new retail space to east Round Rock
within 90 days and be completed in January, according to Frances Crossley of K.W. Commercial. Several businesses have already leased space within the rst phase of Diamond 79 Plaza, including Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill, which will anchor the retail space. Additionally, the Georgia-based chain Tropical Smoothie Cafe will occupy a 1,684-square-foot space in the retail development, and Color Coated Nails Bar & Spa will occupy 1,530 square feet within the space.

Round Rock residents near Hwy. 79 east of Dell Diamond will have new eating and retail options, pending the completion of Diamond 79 Plaza. The commercial property located at 2980 Joe DiMaggio Blvd., Round Rock, will bring a total of approximately 25,000 square feet split between two buildings.
