direction to get some sort of food. A lot of people come here because of the convenience.” Brennan and Burnett recently moved their brick-and-mortar burger spot, Cedar Pork Too, to the food truck park. The gas station-turned-restau- rant was located at 700 N. Vista Ridge Blvd., but it closed on Nov. 10. The full menu, though, is now served at the park. Its most popular item is The Torch, a moderately spicy jalape- no-loaded burger, Brennan said. “We’re going to reimagine the con- cept ... instead of going halfway at both locations, let’s just go all the way here,” Brennan said. “We have a lot more space; we have a lot more seating; we can do a lot more with it.” As the owners expand the Cedar Pork space, they also aim to open a second location in Leander. Although hours for the park vary, OG’s Barbeque is open from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday and the Cedar Pork Facebook page posts hours for the taco and burger trucks. OG’s Barbeque is run by pitmaster Orie King and his wife, Glenda. Along with brisket and sausage, the truck serves banana pudding and peach cobbler for dessert. Cedar Pork’s unique location is what brings its appeal, Brennan said. “It’s very eclectic, just as it is,” Brennan said. “The fact that you come here and you have a shipping con- tainer home and a shipping container bar—that alone, I think, makes it pretty unique over here.”
Robert Burnett started the food park in 2020 in a space where they renovated shipping containers into tiny homes. The name started rst, Brennan said. “It was initially intended to be something just kind of like a part-time gig; we didn’t think it would take o,” Brennan said. “Well, we got lucky, because we were right in the middle of COVID[-19]. There was no place for anybody, so it was just food trucks.” The food truck park hosts multiple trucks on the property. The most popular items are the brisket, cooked out of OG’s Barbeque truck and served with mac and cheese, green beans, potato salad, or baked beans. Brennan said the Smokehouse Breakfast Taco is popular from the taco truck, served with brisket or pulled pork, two eggs, pico de gallo and cheese. “We have a few tacos that are like our hard-hitting items,” Brennan said. “But as far as burgers go, burgers is where we probably got most of our notoriety.” Cedar Pork is located near the Picnic Hiking Trail and Brushy Creek Sports Park, making it a popular with runners, bikers and families, Brennan said. “There [are] not a whole lot of restaurants right around this area,” Brennan said. “We kind of ll a food void, if you will, where you have to drive at least a little bit in either
