FROMAMY: When we think of a family-owned business, the second-largest employer in Round Rock may not come to mind. But Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is owned and operated by the Nelson family from Wisconsin, and by next spring, they will have hired approximately 1,200 employees. While we hope that the addition of jobs from businesses such as Kalahari will strengthen our local economy, we know that other industries are still facing challenges.
