2 Katy Boardwalk Reserve The district, which is located near Katy Mills Mall, will see 186 single-family homes instead of brownstones, villas and patio homes following a Nov. 10 vote by Katy City Council. The 126.9-acre development will also feature commercial, parks and recreational areas. The developer agreement states only 100 homes can be built in the first 12 months, followed by 100 the next 12 months and the remaining following.
