While there are several noodle bars in the area, owner Tuan Tran pointed out the noodles have to have a certain fat content for ramen, whereas Vietnamese broth is a little lighter, he said. The pho noodle dishes feature bone broth that is cooked for hours with premium cuts of beef and other meat options. Appetizers include Back Alley Wings, spring rolls and deep-fried shrimp. Salads are also available. While The Alley Noodle Bar will accommodate dine-in and takeaway customers in the front of the house, the kitchen has the potential to per- form double duty, hosting other food concepts that can be picked up through MAIN ST. The shop features 26 flavors of freshly brewed iced teas as well as Yeti products and snacks, according to a spokesperson for the com- pany. HTeaO originated in Midland and operates 61 locations with seven in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. In addition to tea, the McKinney location will serve an HTeaO blend of coffee, which is a new venture for the brand, according to owner Trae Porter. HTeaO is expected to open in McKinney later this year, but an opening date has not been set. www.hteao.com 6 Tampa-based The Brass Tap has plans to open a craft beer bar in McKinney. The company has seven locations in the Dallas area with two more on tap in McKinney and Frisco. Each location is independently franchised, and the McKinney location will be owned by Hardik Patel and his business partners. The McKinney location will have a full sports bar that will feature 60 dif- ferent beers on tap and “a full-size menu,” according to Patel. The Brass Tap is known for its flatbread pizzas, burgers, wings and sandwiches, according to its website. The location will also feature a covered patio with yard games and a 4K video wall for customers to enjoy sporting events. The restaurant will host karaoke and trivia nights as well as live music on select days.
