Houston Methodist received the Healthgrades “triple crown” in 2026 by becoming accredited in clinical quality, patient safety and patient experience. The hospital system also received a $25 million commitment from The Duncan Fund to support the Houston Methodist Department of Medicine. The donation will help fund research for streamlined coordination of complex, multidisciplinary care by physicians, the applicability of artificial intelligence in hospital settings and the creation of five new endowed fellowships.
The American Nurses Credentialing Center’s (ANCC) Commission on Accreditation awarded St. Luke’s Health - The Vintage Hospital with a recognition for Practice Transition Programs for the hospital’s nursing residency program. “This accreditation is a testament to the incredible dedication of our nursing leadership, educators, mentors and all who contribute to the success of our new graduate nurses,” said Ruth Owusu, DNP, RN, Chief Nursing Officer for the Houston Market. “It reflects our deep-seated belief in nurturing the next generation of nursing talent and our commitment to developing a highly skilled and compassionate workforce.”
The St. Luke’s - Springwoods Village hospital is celebrating 10 years of operations in the Spring area in 2026. “We are incredibly proud to celebrate ten years of fulfilling our promise to bring exceptional care to Spring,” said Jim Parisi, Hospital President “This milestone reflects the dedication of our amazing team and the incredible support we’ve received from our community. We look forward to many more years of healing and compassionate care for those we serve.” The hospital also officially launched a new orthopedics clinic in April, bringing in additional sport medicine capabilities alongside new equipment.
