Harrell Parkway project gets additional funds Round Rock City Council approved Feb. 22 an additional $1.8 million to go to engineering for the reconstruction of Harrell Parkway as the scope of design work has increased. In a separate action, council members also approved a budget amendment allocating $34.5 million toward the Transportation Capital Improvement Program for this specific project. The gist The Harrell Parkway project is part of the larger improvement plans for Old Settlers Park. Improve- ments along the two-lane roadway will include:
RM 620 roundabout project now complete Officials with the city of Round Rock, Texas Department of Transportation and Williamson County held a ribbon cutting March 8 for the completion of the four-year long RM 620 roundabout project. The overview The project began in March 2020 and is intended to improve safety and mobility, according to city documents. The scope of work for the entire $27.4 million project included: • Overpasses at Chisholm Trail and Lake Creek Drive • Frontage roads both east and westbound • Widened lanes along RM 620 • Increased bicycle and pedestrian accommodations
