On Oct. 18, Williamson County Commissioners Court recognized CR 200 in Liberty Hill as the 200th road project completed under the voter-approved road bond program. “Voters have seen that need and have said yes to these projects,” Precinct 3 Commissioner Valerie Covey said. Williamson County had a total of four successful bond elections in 2000, 2006, 2013 and 2019. Using funding from the bonds, the county has completed safety and mobility projects in unincorporated areas of the county as well as in cities through partnerships with the Texas Department of Transportation and the Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority. The need for the roads was œrst recognized in 1999 when commis- sioners court adopted its œrst Long- Range Transportation Plan to identify

About 15.5 million people traveled through Austin-Bergstrom Interna- tional Airport from January through September, according to data released by the airport. This means total passenger trac was up 75% from the same time frame last year, which saw about 8.9 million passengers, according to the data. During September, nearly 1.8 million people visited the airport, a 46.5% increase from September 2021. Data shows nearly half of those passengers boarded ights out of ABIA. Airport ocials were also projecting high passenger trac—days with more than 30,000 departing passengers—for 12 days in October as people visited the city for the Austin City Limits Music Festival and the Formula One Grand Prix race.

Passenger trac hit a record high at ABIA after last year’s race with over 35,000 people traveling through the airport Oct. 25, 2021. Additionally, air cargo trac at ABIA surpassed 26 million pounds in September, up 21.4% year over year. During busy days, ocials recom- mend arriving at the airport at least two and a half hours before domestic ights and three hours before inter- national ights.
