The details The projects will include intersection work, new battery backups at various intersections and new illuminated street signs, documents show. Some of those items include: FM 518 at Country Lane intersection Improvements • Scope: This is a full intersection rebuild at FM 518 and Country Lane, including signal upgrades, mast arm installation and safety enhancements. • Contractor: Statewide Traffic Signal Company • Cost: $458,457 construction contract • Timeline: The contractor must begin within 10 days of receiving notice to proceed, with a completion period of 320 days.

• Scope: This project includes the purchase and installation of 13 uninterruptible power supply battery backup systems with remote monitoring at major intersections across League City. • Vendor: Paradigm Traffic Systems, Inc. • Cost: $92,430 • Why it matters: Battery backups keep traffic lights operational during power outages, improving safety and reducing post-storm recovery time. Internally illuminated street name signs • Scope: This project includes the purchase of 24 internally illuminated street name signs through a BuyBoard cooperative contract.
