Cedar Park splash pad to be rebuilt by summer The splash pad at Brushy Creek Lake Park will now undergo a full renovation and small expan- sion following unanimous approval by Cedar Park City Council on Dec. 21. The backstory Brushy Creek Lake Park’s splash pad is being reconstructed due to its old age and condition, Parks and Recreation Assistant Director Mike DeVito said at the meeting. City staff has recommended the existing splash pad be demolished and rebuilt with new, modern- ized equipment. Looking ahead DeVito said both the playground project and reconstruction of the splash pad are projected to be completed in late spring or early summer, contingent upon the weather.
