Barry wins Republican runo for District 29 Jerey Barry won his race against Alex Kam- kar, meaning he will represent the Republican Party in November for District 29 of the Texas State House, according to unocial results from Brazoria County as of press time on June 6. Burridge wins seat on Brazoria Co. Court Jay Burridge won the Republican primary runo election against David Thacker for the Precinct 1 seat on the Brazoria County Commissioners Court, according to uno- cial election results from Brazoria County. The full story Burridge received 1,788 votes, or 61.5% of the vote, while Thacker received 1,121 votes, or 38.5% of the vote, unocial results showed as of press time on June 6. There is no Democratic candidate running in the race, meaning Burridge will run unopposed in November. “I want to express my gratitude to the people of [Precinct 1] for believing in me and supporting my campaign,” Burridge said in a May 29 social media post.
