Phase 1, which will be complete in 2025, includes emergency services and general surgery. Plans for the hospital include a Phase 2 expansion, which could expand existing Phase 1 offerings including: Emergency room Operating room Lab Pharmacy

The new hospital is expected to treat its first patients in early 2025, Celina Methodist President Cody Hunter said. Its services will include emergency medicine, orthopedics, cardiology and general surgery. OB-GYN services are expected to become available in summer 2025, Hunter said. Before Methodist Celina, patients were sent to Denton, McKinney or Frisco for care, Hunter said. “Celina is an emergency care desert,” he said. Having a hospital nearby as the city continues to grow will support both its residents and visitors, Celina City Manager Robert Ranc said. The city’s population is expected to more than double in size by 2030 from 34,000 residents in 2023 to a projected 97,000 by 2030, according to U.S. Census data.
