HEBBREAKSGROUND IN WESTMCKINNEY H-E-B held a groundbreaking ceremony on March 3 for a store that is slated to open in late 2023 at the northeast corner of Custer Road and Eldorado Parkway. The new McKinney location will have a large zone dedicated to curbside pickup at the back of the store, a fuel station, a car wash, a pharmacy drive-thru and True Texas BBQ, H-E-B’s barbecue restaurant, according to a news release from H-E-B. “Our company, just like the city of McKinney, has a rich history in Texas,” said Juan-Carlos Rück, H-E-B executive vice president of North West Food Drug, in the release. “We have a passion and commitment to serve the cities in which we operate. Whole FoodsMarket to open inwestMcKinney The rm behind McKinney’s upcoming West Grove development announced March 23 that it has netted Whole Foods as the project’s anchor tenant. This will be the rst Whole Foods Market in McKinney, the release from De La Vega Capital and Devel- opment stated. “West Grove will be designed perfect addition to West Grove.” Plans for West Grove include a neighboring entertainment venue called The Hub, which will feature a stage, an event lawn, and surround- ing retail and restaurants.
