WilCo starts work on Berry Springs upgrades Williamson County broke ground on a new visitors center and park headquarters in Berry Springs Park and Preserve on March 8. The big picture Park improvements will last between 10-12 months and may cause minor closures to areas of the park. The campgrounds will remain closed until the construction is complete. Alongside the new visitors center and head- quarters, the Georgetown park will receive new restrooms, additional paved parking, a new open- air pavilion, and a new maintenance and storage facility, as well as an extension to the Meadow Loop Trail system. In a nutshell The groundbreaking ceremony was for Block 37A, a three-story, 20,000-square- foot commercial project, said Scott Stribling of Century 21 Hellman Stribling, the devel- opment’s property management company. Stribling said the building’s third-™oor tenant will be Corridor Title, while Sneed, Vine & Perry P.C. will be the tenant for the second ™oor and half of the „rst ™oor. The remaining half of the „rst ™oor has not yet been leased as of press time. Stribling said he expects the development to be complete by spring or summer 2025.

the donkeys residing on the property—known as Lil’ Bob and Pedro—will continue to welcome visitors from their fenced barnyard adjacent to the new building site. The $5.9 million in funding for the improve- ments comes from 2023 voter-approved bonds. Construction costs are funded from the county’s construction fund. The Berry Springs park land is home to a century-old pecan grove, with the vast green space ožering visitors large shaded areas, trails, play equipment and creekside views.
