315-space parking garage breaks ground downtown Georgetown o cials and community members celebrated the groundbreaking of the city’s „rst parking garage on March 26. Located along South Austin Avenue, the new garage will serve as an additional parking option for those who visit the city’s downtown area. “This garage helps us address some of our parking challenges downtown and will ensure Georgetown remains a vibrant and welcoming des- tination for years to come,” Mayor Josh Schroeder said in a March 22 news release. The details Costing $19.8 million, the four-level downtown parking garage will bring an additional 315 parking spaces to the area.
