Conroe ISD begins rezoning process for new schools
TISD approves tax rate for FY 202425 Tomball ISD will collect taxes for scal year 2024-25 at a rate that is $0.0023 per $100 valuation lower year over year after the board of trustees approved the change Sept. 10. The big picture Trustees approved the FY 2024-25 total tax rate of $1.0629 per $100 valuation. The rate is 0.22% less than the district’s FY 2023-24 rate of $1.0652 per $100 valuation. “We can’t go any lower,” board Vice President Justin Unser said. “If we do, we’ll have less money from the state. ... I feel like the tax rate is being set for us because there [are] the formulas that are provided that we have to use.” Property values have increased for home- owners living in the district, so the amount of taxes collected could be higher, Unser said.

Campbell Elementary
Conroe ISD trustees were introduced to the pro- posed rezoning process for two of the district’s new elementary schools at the board’s Sept. 17 meeting. What to know Mittie J. Campbell Elementary School and W. Robert Eissler Elementary School will open in August 2025 serving the Oak Ridge and Caney Creek high schools, and The Woodlands High School, respectively. Parents with children who will be aected by the new schools and boundaries will receive a let- ter soon, Assistant Superintendent of Operations Chris McCord said in the meeting. “We take this very seriously. We [are] committed to provide quality at every school [and] we plan to have the recommendations to you on the third

The Attendance Boundary Committee will review zoning scenarios before presenting its proposals to the board likely in January. The CISD board of trustees is responsible for the nal decision on the attendance boundaries.
