Portion of Hillcrest Road to close for a year Ocials have closed a portion of Hillcrest Road beginning Jan. 25 for construction on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit’s Silver Line project. The gist During the closure, crews will construct a grade-separated rail crossing at Hillcrest. There will be no access to Hillcrest Road between McCal- lum Boulevard and Wester Way during the project. Detours will direct trac to Coit Road on the east and Preston Road on the west. Access will be limited from McKamy Boulevard. Dallas Fire-Res- cue and Dallas police will have emergency access at several locations across the construction site. Multiple road projects in downtown Plano are wrapping up work in February. The details Two separate projects on 14th Street nished construction on Feb. 2, Plano Community Investment Project Engineering Manager Clay Lipscomb said. The rst of which, on the corner of 14th Street and Shiloh Road, included pavement and utility improvements. Work also concluded on utility improve- ments on the stretch of 14th Street from Jupiter Road to Municipal Avenue. Construction is also set to nish on the section of 10th Street from N Avenue to Jupiter Road. Crews are nishing up water line installation and pavement repair, with work estimated to be completed on Feb. 23.
