1 Hwy. 290 enhancements Project: Tolled main lanes could be extended along a 15-mile stretch with signalized intersections and pedestrian infrastructure. Update: An environmental study and schematic design are underway, with the first draft schematics expected this summer. • Timeline: TBD • Cost: TBD • Funding source: Central Texas Regional Mobility Authority internal funds (feasibility and design)

2 Blakey Lane extension Project: The road will be extended from Edward Burleson Lane, traveling east and south, to Old Austin Highway. Update: Officials are finalizing plans for a route using 2A a new roadway or 2B Jessica Place. • Timeline: Construction is expected to begin later this summer. • Cost: $7 million-$8 million • Funding sources: transportation impact fees; roadway maintenance funds; water and wastewater fees

3 SH 95 improvements Project: TxDOT is upgrading SH 95 from SL 230 to south of FM 535 from a two-lane rural roadway to a three-lane urban roadway with a left-turn lane, as well as adding sidewalks, ramps, handrails and pedestrian signals. Update: Construction began in early 2026. Crews are now installing city water lines. Roadway improvements will follow. • Timeline: January 2026-October 2029 • Cost: $14 million • Funding source: TxDOT Category 2 state funds
