DO I NEEDA FISHING LICENSE?
Texas requires individuals age 17 and older who are shing in public waters in the state to have a shing license. Exemptions include: • Anyone under age 17 • Anyone born before Jan. 1, 1931 • Anyone shing in privately owned bodies of water • Anyone shing within the boundaries of a state park More information can be found at https://tpwd.texas.gov/shboat/ sh/.
