Construction for the new Bastrop ISD police station has started at the 1100 block of Lovers Lane, with a projected completion date set for September, o cials announced. In a nutshell Funded by the $321.5 million bond passed in 2023, the station will serve as a multipurpose facility, providing administrative and operational support for the district’s police department. About the project A total of $17.7 million from the bond is allo- cated to enhance police operations, which also includes the addition of security cameras across district campuses. O cials said this initiative is part of the district’s broader e ort to improve safety and e ciency.
Construction on the $17.5 million police station is set to nish in September.
