WorldSprings aims to open mineral pool spa Cedar Park is going to be the home of the rst Central Texas location of WorldSprings, a spa oering a globally inspired outdoor mineral pool experience that promotes wellness and relaxation. Cedar Park City Council approved a special use permit for the project during its March 28 meeting. A closer look WorldSprings is planning to bring over 40 soaking pools and mineral springs that reect and mimic various bodies of water around the world to an 8-acre site northwest of 183A Toll and E. New Hope Drive. The complex will feature a blend of hot and cold springs as well as larger fresh water pools. Ethan Harwell, a representative of the company, said WorldSprings is not a water park but a health and wellness facility intended for passive recreation. Planning continues for RM 1431 widening project Ocials are close to nalizing the design for the RM 1431 roadway improvement project and are preparing to begin construction planning and the right-of-way acquisition process, which will take place throughout 2024. About the project Crews will widen a 2.3-mile portion of RM 1431, or Whitestone Boulevard, from four lanes into a six- lane major arterial roadway from New Hope Drive to Bagdad Road. While the project will require right-of-way acqui- sition, Capital Projects Manager Chris Brickey said nearby businesses will not be impacted, and no one should have to relocate. He said the widening would mainly cut into sidewalks and parking spaces. More US 183 closures, changes expected Drivers can expect more road closures on frontage roads, MoPac and US 183 in 2024 as the US 183 North project progresses, accord- ing to a February update from local transpor- tation authorities. The $612 million US 183 North Mobility Project will add two express toll lanes on the interior of the road alongside one additional nontolled lane. Construction broke ground in 2022 and will be completed by 2026.
