Move-ins begin
Approximately 1,840 multifamily housing units are either under construction or proposed for the Lake Houston area, according to a Feb. 28 submar- ket report from MRI ApartmentData. The breakdown According to the report, two multifamily housing complexes totaling 538 units are under construc- tion in the Lake Houston area, with five additional projects totaling 1,302 units proposed. Three other multifamily housing complexes with a total of 703 units have opened in the area since last February. Some context MRI ApartmentData includes several commu- nities in its Lake Houston Kingwood submarket including Atascocita, Kingwood, Humble, Porter, New Caney and Huffman. According to the report, the Lake Houston King- wood submarket includes 79 multifamily housing properties with a total of 19,063 operating units. Of
