JMP Wines brings global tastings to Humble JMP Wines was brought to Humble by local business owners Peter and Janell Marules in 2022. The framework According to Peter Marules, JMP Wines came about as an expansion to their olive oil business Lakonia Imports, which was founded by Peter and his cousin Kyriakos Maroulakos in their Greek Village, Aghios Nikolaos, in 2018. “We decided to get a winery license because the company was going very well. So we ... created JMP wines to kind of be a sister company,” he said. On the menu JMP Wines o ers small boutique wines imported from the international wine scene, including Greece, Spain, Argentina and beyond. “What we enjoy doing most is sharing new things that our customers have never heard of,” he said. JMP Wines also o ers its signature cabernet and plans to release another signature JMP white wine early this year. JMP Wines supports its community by hosting wine tasting events paired with food from local restaurants, Peter Marules said. In addition, each tasting event features a brief educa- tion and tastings of the owners’ families’ international award-winning extra virgin olive oils, Greek County Olives and line of balsamic vinegars from the sister company, Lakonia Imports.
