Humble ISD trustees approved Lake Houston Middle School as the o cial name of Middle School No. 11 during the board’s Feb. 20 meeting. The overview Slated to open for the 2025-26 school year, con- struction on the new school began in November. Funded through the district’s $775 million bond approved by voters in May 2022, o cials said the roughly 213,000-square-foot, three-story facility is expected to cost about $80.8 million and have the capacity for 1,250 students. The new middle school will serve students currently zoned to Autumn Ridge and West Lake middle schools, with the potential to take on Trustees select name for Middle School No. 11
