FEATURED IMPACT COMING SOON Moonie’s Burger House will open its sixth location in mid-May at 109 US 183, Leander, according to Craig Cohen, the Central Texas chain’s president. According to Cohen, the Leander location near Old Town—formerly Maria’s Mexican Restaurant—will be more focused on a sit-down dining experience and could potentially have a full bar in addition to its craft-focused beer oerings. The opening of the Leander store will also coincide with the shuttering of the Moonie’s in Cedar Park, which is being demolished as part of the larger Bell Boulevard redevelopment. Cohen said the chain will aim to reopen a new
location in Cedar Park in the fall once a suitable site has been secured. Moonie’s was established in 2006 and also has locations in Liberty Hill, Marble Falls and two in Northwest Austin. www.mooniesburgerhouse.com
