Agave Veterinary Care & Exotic Animal Hospital owner brings experience to new Leander clinic
With 13 years of experience in veterinary medicine, Dr. Sarah Miller opened her own practice in May.
“We wanted to bring exotic medicine to this area because there’s really not a lot of options for people who live up north or out west,” she said. The specics Agave Veterinary Care oers primary care, including wellness exams, bloodwork, vaccines, X-rays and surgeries. Sta also provide advice to people with exotic pets. Miller said the hospital has probably seen roughly 50 dierent types of species. “I have a fantastic job,” she said. “I get to work with animals; I get to talk to people about what I’m passionate about. It’s really rewarding.”
Animals from dogs to bearded dragons to hedge- hogs can receive medical treatment at Agave Veteri- nary Care & Exotic Animal Hospital in Leander. “Myself and my sta are extremely experienced,” owner Sarah Miller said. “When you come in and work with me, you get the benet of all those years of experience.” How we got here Miller said the groundwork to establish her own hospital “has been years in the making,” but things began to really take o in 2022. Construction took awhile, she said, but the business opened in May.
