Depending on the acreage, owners would need roughly 5-12 beehives to acquire the exemption, which in Texas requires proof of agricultural activity for five of the previous seven years. For land that doesn’t currently meet the requirement, owners can start the process and file for the exemption once the land becomes eligible. The 276-home neighborhood features rental homes ranging from 680 to 1,300 square feet, according to a news release. Each home comes with a private backyard and smart home technology, with garages and storage units also available for rent. The neighborhood provides onsite management and maintenance. It also includes a pool, fitness center, co- working rooms, outdoor fire pits, dog parks, a car care station, clubhouse and walking paths.
