4 Tomball ISD propositions pass

All four of Tomball ISD’s bond proposi- tions for campus renovations, technology, athletic upgrades and multiprogram activity centers at each high school, totaling $429.1 million, were passed by voters in Harris and Montgomery counties on May 3. Quote of note “This vote of support from our commu- nity ensures that Tomball ISD will remain a destination district and provide our students and sta‚ with the facilities, upgrades and opportunities they deserve,” TISD o„cials said in a statement. In addition to $331.6 million for school buildings, school sites and buses, the bond called for $18 million for technology, $2.8 million for stadium facilities and $76.7 million for high school activity centers.

“Thanks to this bond, we’ll see signi‘cant investments in road improvements across the county. From reducing congestion and improving safety, this bond is a bold step forward in making our transportation infrastructure work for Montgomery County all with zero increase to our tax rate,” County Judge Mark Keough said in a social media post. the Grand Parkway. On April 16, a project proposed to extend

Townsen Boulevard in Precinct 3 was withdrawn by Precinct 3 Commissioner Ritch Wheeler following a town hall where residents voiced concerns about the impact on neighborhoods in the area. Another project on the Precinct 3 priority list would replace the Sawdust Road bridge. Cost estimates for each project were not yet available at press time.
