Military veterans within Dripping Springs and the region will soon have a place to connect with other veterans with the looming completion of Patriots’ Hall of Dripping Springs, located at 231 Patriots Hall, a 10-acre resource and amenity center dedicated to veterans and their families. The project costs began at around $6 million and have risen to $10 million, due to ination and pandemic-related delays. Founding board members Mary Jane Hetrick and Kathryn Chandler said the organization has fundraised $8.4 million, $1.5 million coming from a Hays County grant. “It’s taken a few more years, but I think that also shows the support of this community for veterans,” Hetrick said. 10-acre Patriots’ Hall to ll a need

What's next?

Patriots’ Hall features a 1,200-square-foot meeting house for veterans, which has already reached completion. The location will also feature an array of other amenities in the works, including:

The 7,100-square-foot main hall is inching closer to fruition as the team aims to open and be operational this summer. Both the meeting house and gathering hall will serve as exible spaces for veterans to conduct work or spend leisure time with others. The wellness center will have a local physician for consultations by appointment and one-on-one Veterans Aairs claims assistance also by appointment. The board will also begin an ambassador program for veterans to help other veterans or their families.

While the gathering hall construction nears completion, the trails, pond, garden and other amenities are in the fundraising phase.
