Construction updates Work on houses in the Centro community in Shenandoah is progressing, and land has been cleared for the new apartment building planned at Six Pines Drive and Timberloch Place in The Woodlands. 1 Investment company Orpheus Holdings of Spring is in the process of relocating its business from Tealbriar Circle to a building under construction at 24811 Gosling Road, Spring. The building will be owner-occupied and is anticipated to open in September. Work began on the site in 2017. 2 Construction continues on Palmetto Homes MDR’s Centro community, located on the David Memorial Drive connector to Hwy. 242 in Shenandoah. The community will consist of 114 homes upon completion, with the first homes anticipated to have residents moving in around October. A new batch of homes is anticipated to begin construction in November, a company representative said. 3 A new Aldi is under construction in Spring, located at 2412 Rayford Road. The discount grocery store chain is expected to open to the public later this fall, a company spokesperson said. 4 The 1.67-acre site of a seven-story apartment complex planned at Six Pines Drive and Timberloch Place in The Woodlands has been cleared in preparation for construction work to begin on the project, Howard Hughes Corp. officials said. The building will include 163 residences and is expected to be complete in 2020, officials said. The apartment complex has not yet been named. 5 Work on a new office building for Alight Solutions on New Trails Drive is underway. The new facility will include a 180,000-square-foot office building and 115,000-square- foot parking garage. Alight Solutions is currently located on Lakeside Boulevard.
