The most recent real estate data from the Four Rivers Association of Realtors showed homes under contract and the number of new listings—when compared between September 2021 and September 2022—active listings in Hays County went up 137.6%. Homes stayed on the market 50 days more than September 2021 at 141 days, and months of inventory nearly tripled, from 1.3 months in September 2021 to 3.2 months this September.
