Castle’s Edge oering homes in Willis Castle’s Edge, a residential community in Willis, is now open and selling homes starting in the mid-$130,000s, according to an Aug. 6 news release. In a nutshell The community by Ellison Development and D.R. Horton includes 430 homesites with two- and three-bedroom layouts avail- able, according to the news release. Homes range from 816 to 1,206 square feet.

County mental health facility breaks ground Community leaders gathered Aug. 18 to break ground on an expansion to the Montgomery County Mental Health Treatment Facility. What this means The project, at the same site as the current facil- ity, includes an additional 100 beds, Jeremy Barr,

president and CEO of Recovery Solutions, said. Je Rone, hospital administrator at Recovery Solutions, said the expansion is focused on serving individuals who are incompetent to stand trial. The expansion will increase capacity twofold, using a portion of the $50 million awarded to the county in 2023 through the Texas Health and Human Services’ Mental Health Inpatient Facility Grant Program, as previously reported. What’s next The expansion is expected to be completed in December 2026, Rone said.
