Cibolo council authorizes animal services funding Cibolo City Council on March 12 authorized the city manager to enter a contract with JMO Mod- ular for a modular oce for the Animal Services Department. City Council also authorized the city manager to enter a contract with Horizon Structures for a portable kennel structure. The details The total cost of the modular oce is around $160,000, while the cost for the portable kennel structure is around $71,000. According to documents submitted to the City Council, both projects will be funded by a grant fund through the American Rescue Plan Act, which was awarded to cities for economic relief in 2021. Schertz sta launches capital improvement project tracker Schertz residents have a new tool to keep track of transportation, drainage, parks and other projects around the city. The details Schertz sta launched a new website that details capital improvement projects happening around the city. As of March 14, this tool tracks 14 city projects, including improvements to Main Street, which will see the revitalization of the area as well as the reconstruction of the road. Services Department, city sta and adminis- tration are working on a bond proposal for the November election that would see the construc- tion of a new facility for animal services and a new public safety facility. Mayor Mark Allen said if the new animal services facility is constructed, the modular oce could potentially be repurposed for other uses.
