DEVELOPMENT UPDATES

COMPILED BY ANDREWCHRISTMAN

Construction updates Projects underway in south Montgomery County in August include single-family homes near Sawdust Road and a new movie theater along the Grand Parkway. 1 Work on single-family homes is underway at The Reserve at Woodmill Creek . Leasing agent Tiffany Macpherson said there are a total of 64 lots under construction by Pelican Builders in the new neighborhood, with five houses completed and on the market. Construction on The Reserve at Woodmill Creek began in 2017, and the neighborhood has a variety of homes, floor plans and lots available, she said. 2 Construction continues on an Even Hotel in Shenandoah. John Mayner, Shenandoah Convention and Visitors Bureau director, said he estimates the 120-room hotel will be completed by the end of 2020. Once the project and two other hotels are completed, it will bring the total number of hotels in the city up to 13. 3 Construction of a new Regal Theater is underway at Birnham Woods Drive and the Grand Parkway. Construction crews on-site said the theater is expected to open by the end of 2020. 4 Work has started on a new building and parking project between Research Forest Drive and Technology Forest Boulevard at Lakeside Boulevard. The six-story, 140,000-square-foot office building and associated parking garage is anticipated to be opened by summer 2020, according to developer Transwestern.
