Brinson said he has stylists who work until 2 a.m. some days, catering to nurses and other employees who work untraditional hours. But while Salon Meyerland’s customer base has predominantly coarser, textured hair, Brinson said the stylists are trained to work with all hair types. “If somebody’s not the best ... they lean on each other and try to get each other to do better—they all just kind of mesh and learn from one another,” Brinson said.

The overview Bonner Brinson, the owner of Salon Meyerland, refers to his employees and customers as family, as he’s known some of them for almost twenty years. Brinson opened the salon in 2007 and has 74 tenants who o er a range of services related to hair, nails, body waxing and makeup. Tenants have access to the salon at all times.
